Stalls in the Market Square
The Market Square, in the middle of the town, has 12 stalls.
- Click a free stall to open your own: give it a name, choose up to 10 items and a price for each, and how long it stays open (1 to 24 hours).
- The items stay in the stall, and the stall keeps selling while you are offline.
- Sales in gold go to your bank, minus a 3% market fee.
- Whatever is left comes back when you close the stall or the time runs out. If you are offline, it waits for you (with the gold) until you log in again.
- Only accounts can open stalls, buy from them and trade with other players (guests cannot).
- Forge bonuses go with the item you sell.
The market panel
Market Clerk Silas, in the Market Square, keeps a list of everything on sale in all the stalls. Search for an item, see the cheapest first and buy it right there.
Direct trade
Right-click another player → Trade. When the other side accepts, click items in your backpack to offer them (you choose how many from a stack) and set an amount of gold. Both players click Accept. Any change to an offer cancels both accepts, so nobody can swap an item at the last second. The trade happens all at once.
Paying with $GRIM
A seller can price items in gold, in $GRIM or in both. Every price is set by the player who sells: the game never decides what an item is worth. The GRIM price shows next to a Pay with wallet button. Vellgrim runs on Solana, and the payment goes through Phantom (or another Solana wallet).
- Click Pay with wallet. The item is reserved for you for 2 minutes.
- Your wallet opens with one transaction: 99% goes straight from your wallet to the seller's wallet, and 1% is burned in the same transaction.
- Approve it. The server checks the transaction on Solana (the amount, the seller's wallet and the reservation code) and hands you the item.
Good to know:
- The game never holds your tokens, and nobody gets the 1%: it is burned for good.
- If you cancel in the wallet, the reservation is released at once. If nobody pays, the item goes back to the stall after 2 minutes.
- Each reservation can only be paid once.
- You need GRIM and a little SOL (for the network fee) in your wallet. The seller receives at the Solana address of their account.
- Never share your secret phrase — not with players, not with the game, not with anyone who says they are staff. Vellgrim only knows your public address. Always check the amount in your wallet before approving.
Buying from NPCs with $GRIM
Hilde and the other shops sell potions and food in packs of 100 for GRIM, and Borin sells ready-made Common and Rare gear for gold or GRIM. All the GRIM paid to an NPC is burned (100%): it goes to no wallet.
Gold Bars: gold and GRIM
Gold only enters the game from creatures. Mordecai turns 10,000 gold into a Gold Bar and back. A Gold Bar can be sold in a stall for GRIM, at the price you choose, so the market decides how much gold is worth.
Creating an account
To create an account, your Solana wallet must hold at least $1 of GRIM (checked once, when the account is made). Guests play for free, with no wallet.
